Waiting for the Apple Cinema 27-Inch Display

The New Display is now available for order and will ship in a week or two. Currently I am working on the 24 Inch Imac and will upgrade to the 27-inch display soon.

Pros:

$999 – Believe it or not that’s the cheapest IPS monitor of its class
27-inch 2560 x 1440 resolution (industry standard for high end graphics)
Mini-Display/Magsafe Power port for easy connecting to my Macbook Pro 17
iSight Camera (web conferencing, facetime etc….)
49-watt Speakers (Will sound better than the iMac speakers and they are good enough for me)
IPS (178-degree viewing angle)

Cons:

Not easy to hook up s PS3 or PC computer (i’ve gone mac on almost everything so who cares?)
Glossy Screen (not an issue for my current studio – no windows)

I’ll probably do a video review for YouTube when mine comes in (waiting on a music royalty check to come in before I order)……. Looking forward to the extra real estate and the resolution should be enough for several years……….
